Energy cooperatives and communities

We help businesses, municipalities and local communities develop shared energy projects in Poland. We organise participants, assess assets and the energy balance, then select a collaboration model. A Polish energy cooperative is considered as a structure for delivering a defined investment programme.

01

Participants and shared objectives

With the initiating group, we establish energy needs, available assets and the expected contribution of each participant. We define decision-making, data sharing and funding for project preparation. Contributions may include generation, space, capital or energy demand.

02

Energy balance and cooperative economics

We compare participants’ demand with existing and planned generation. The model includes investment, energy costs, financing and administration. We compare expected outcomes with a scenario without the shared project and identify the assumptions on which the result depends.

03

Legal structure and organisation

Together with legal partners, we check the requirements for a Polish energy cooperative, cluster or another collaboration model. We coordinate membership rules, responsibilities, contracts and formalities. The organisational timetable is linked to investment preparation and agreements with relevant energy market participants.

04

Investment, operation and settlement

We develop the generation and demand portfolio alongside its financing structure. We define the operator’s tasks, data collection, management costs and allocation of benefits. We also address new membership and changes in participants’ demand or business activity.

Project deliverable

A feasibility assessment, a recommended collaboration model, an investment plan and rules for participation, management and settlement.

Where we start

An initiating group, participant locations, consumption data, available generation and space, and expectations for collaboration.

Before starting a project

Does registering a cooperative itself create savings?

The economic outcome depends on generation, demand, investment costs, settlement arrangements and administration. We therefore prepare an energy balance and cost comparison before an organisational decision. Registration is one part of developing an operational project.

Can we start with a small group?

An initial phase can cover a limited group and selected assets where the model’s requirements are met. We establish expansion rules so that additional consumers and generators can be assessed on technical and financial grounds.

Start with the assets you have.

Tell us about a building, portfolio or local initiative. Identify the participants and current stage. We will establish the data needed for an initial assessment.
