Energy transition for businesses

We develop energy projects for manufacturers, service businesses and property owners. Operating costs, demand patterns and growth plans set the starting point. We assess each company’s assets alongside opportunities to work with nearby consumers, generators and investors.

01

Energy demand and business operations

We analyse bills, contracts and electricity, heat and cooling demand profiles. We establish when energy is needed, which processes require continuous supply and how expansion will affect demand. This provides a basis for assessing generation and efficiency measures under actual operating conditions.

02

Solar PV, storage and demand flexibility

We assess rooftops, land and existing installations. Technical partners help verify building constraints and grid connection requirements. We compare generation with demand, considering storage and load shifting. Demand-side response opportunities are assessed against operational requirements and participation conditions.

03

Asset ownership, PPAs and ESCO delivery

We compare direct investment and asset operation with a power purchase agreement, or PPA, and an upgrade delivered with an energy service company, or ESCO. Each option is assessed through capital and operating costs, contract duration, responsibilities and risks. We also consider a jointly developed portfolio involving several businesses.

04

Preparing an investment decision

We bring the technical option, financial model, timetable and responsibilities together. We organise discussions with contractors, operators and capital providers, identify conditions to resolve before an investment decision and define the data needed to measure subsequent performance.

Project deliverable

A comparison of investment options, a cash flow model, a defined project scope and a plan for selecting delivery and financing partners.

Where we start

Bills and available consumption profiles covering at least a full year, energy contracts, an asset list and growth plans. We identify data gaps during the initial assessment.

Before starting a project

Does a business need its own generation assets?

Existing generation is one possible starting point. A project may involve a new installation, a PPA, efficiency measures or collaboration with a local generator. The model depends on demand, technical conditions and project economics.

Can several businesses develop a project together?

Joint preparation can cover data analysis, partner selection or an investment portfolio. We first assess shared objectives, demand profiles and readiness to enter contracts. Costs, obligations and expected benefits are defined for each participating business.
